The Writers' Workshop

IWW Dey House

The continuing success of the Writers' Workshop community depends on the generous gifts of our friends, alumni and supporters. Donations from grantmaking institutions and individuals provide fellowships and tuition support to the young writers in the Workshop. One of our long-range goals is to provide complete financial support for each student admitted to the graduate program.

Its programs are based on the belief that the best way to develop future artists is to expose them to rigorous professional practice within the framework of a liberal arts education. Two dozen productions each year provide opportunities to learn the theatre craft and to develop a personal artistic vision.
