This program focuses on Vasile Gârnet and he sits down for an interview with Winston Barclay.  Carrie Messenger from the Writers’ Workshop assists in some translation.  Vâsile speaks of the political state Moldova finds itself in and how poverty has affected his country and how this culture has affected his writing.  Gârnet speaks about his role as director of a Moldovan magazine, Contrafort, and how it aims to write about current, upcoming literature in the region.  Gârnet also talks about his process for writing poetry.
