The Virtual Writing University Archive is a collection of recordings of literary readings, panel discussions, and lectures around The University of Iowa and Iowa City. You may search or browse these recordings to find those you want to hear. The Writing University Archive is a project of the School of Library and Information Science in collaboration with the writing community at Iowa.

Reading from 100 Words: On Mud, General Introductions of IWP Participants and Staff

The first twenty minutes of the tape observes cloud formations changing shape in a clear autumn sky.  The tape proceeds to a gathering of IWP participants, staff, and community in a large meeting room.  Rowena Torrevillas facilitates a group reading from the publication 100 Words.  Following the group reading, IWP participants and staff stand and introduce themselves.
