IWP participants share insights into the role of the landscape in literary production as part of the 2003 Paul Engle Day festivities.  Luvsandamba Dashnyam presents his paper “Mongolian Landscape and Literature,” which concludes with an audio-visual display featuring the Mongolian mountains, desert, forests, steppe, and rivers.  Kim Won-jung presents his essay, “Cracking the Shell: An Overview of Contemporary Korean Ecopoetry.” Anju Dhadda Misra reads “An Eyeful of Water: Language, Landscape and Form in Nan Kisore Acharya’s Hymns to the Desert: A Translator’s Notes.”
