Ly Thi Lan and Mónica Velásquez: Author Interview

Writers Ly Thi Lan and Mónica Velásquez interview each other.  Velásquez speaks of how she came to start writing poetry after a serious illness.  The women talk about the similarities between their writing despite coming from such different backgrounds.  Velásquez talks about the numerous different cultures and languages within Bolivia.  Ly Thi Lan talks about the stigmatism still attached to her country despite it being 20 years since the Vietnam War.  To end the interview, both women read some of their poetry in their native languages.
