James Alan McPherson Lecture
McPherson gives varying examples of the types of landscapes across the world that have influenced peoples’ thinking and philosophies. He also posits that people can learn from the land. He describes his childhood in Georgia and shares that he felt disconnected from the landscape when he was growing up. He explains how Iowa City is a thriving landscape.
