The Virtual Writing University Archive is a collection of recordings of literary readings, panel discussions, and lectures around The University of Iowa and Iowa City. You may search or browse these recordings to find those you want to hear. The Writing University Archive is a project of the School of Library and Information Science in collaboration with the writing community at Iowa.

IWP Authors of 1999 are Welcomed to Iowa

The 1999 group of international writers are welcomed to Iowa as they visit an Iowa farm, the University of Iowa main library and introduce themselves to one another as well as to the people of Iowa. Segments include their arrival at the airport and an introductory/orientation meeting. During a welcoming reception and their visit to a farm, the writers sing unidentified songs from their native countries.
