Experience two of the world’s great wonders, one natural and one man-made, during this slide show of Peru and Ecuador. Discuss the history of the two areas, the environmental challenges, and the politics surrounding the management of these beautiful and fragile regions. Advice will be offered on the logistics, joys and problems of travel. Despite the remote locations, these areas are relatively accessible and quite suitable for family groups as well as individuals...and you may enjoy the IncaCola. INSTRUCTOR: Robert B. Wallace, is a professor of epidemiology and internal medicine in the Colleges of Public Health and Medicine. His current research interests include: Epidemiology of aging, Cancer epidemiology and control, Clinical preventive medicine, Survey research, and Prevention of disability. Dr. Wallace also serves as the director of the UI’s Center on Aging. $10 per lecture for lunch | |
