| Trace the history of photography from its introduction in 1839 until the end of the 19th century. Learn about photographic images using copper, glass and paper. Mr. Juhl will show techniques used by the early Iowa photographers and discuss the importance of photography in the history of our state.
INSTRUCTOR: Paul C. Juhl holds a BA in History from the University of Iowa and an MA in College Student Personnel Services from UNI. Mr. Juhl’s publications include Three Dimensional Visions of the Past; Clear Lake: The Earliest Images; Grant Wood’s Clear Lake Summer; and Co-authorship of Iowa Stereographs with Mary Bennett, as well as numerous magazine articles. | |
